Kincaid’s burgeoning rage and joy at losing himself in Umberlee’s fury has been quickly tempered with the loss of Topsy and Eldeth. He has vowed to never again let the storm distract him from the needs of his friends.
He wants to keep this vow separate and hidden from the part of his mind that speaks to Umberlee, but knows that she is not trespassed from any part of him that he holds most dear; such things are written large on his soul, and obvious to any who know him.
He would curse the visions that initially took him to Gregor and Windcliff, but knows that the salty whore would enjoy the cursing as much as Kincaid could hate the thing which he cursed.
